What to expect at your breathwork session

When you arrive

You’ll be welcomed into my cosy home studio, a calm, nurturing space where you can begin to unwind. If it’s your first visit, we’ll take some time to talk about what brings you to breathwork and what you’d like to explore in your session. If you’ve been before, we’ll simply catch up on how you’ve been and where you are today.

Landing in the space

Once we’ve connected, we’ll take a few gentle breaths together to settle the nervous system and arrive fully in the present moment. This brief grounding practice helps you shift from the outside world into a space of safety, awareness, and openness before your journey begins.

Beginning the Session

Once we’ve arrived and grounded together, I’ll invite you to slip off your shoes and lie down on the couch. I’ll start the music and guide you through a short meditation of around ten minutes to help you settle into your body, quiet the mind, and open to what wants to move through you.

From there, we flow naturally into the breathwork. You’ll be fully guided by my voice and the music will support you in going deeper. Each session is unique, led by the rhythm of your own breath.

At times, I may use gentle touch to ease tension, deepen awareness, or help you feel more anchored in your body. This is always intuitive, respectful, and with your consent.

Coming Back and Integration

When the active breathing phase comes to an end, the music will soften and you’ll be gently guided back into a slower, more natural rhythm. We’ll take time for rest and stillness as your body begins to integrate the experience. When you feel ready to return fully to the space, we’ll talk through what you’ve just experienced. This stage of integration is an important part of the process, helping you to make sense of your journey. Breathwork can sometimes feel dreamlike, and sensations or emotions may fade quickly once you return to ordinary awareness. Speaking about your experience helps bring it into conscious understanding and allows me to support you in exploring what has emerged with greater clarity and meaning.
